Fitting a fishing rod holder to a platform

While it's not as straightforward as mounting one to bars it is possible to attach a fishing rod holder to most platforms. The 572 is our most popular rod holder and can be attached to any platform with horizontal planks, such as the Yakima or Wedgetail, without any additional components required. If you have a Pioneer or Titan platform where the planks run north-south along the vehicle you will need to use this bracket to side-mount it 43159. 

This means the rod holder mounts to the side of the platform. If this isn't possible due to potential issues with the vehicle, awnings, or other accessories already mounted on the side, the 43232B, may be an alternative option, but only for the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform.
