Are Roof Boxes / Pods weatherproof?

Roof Boxes are weather resistant. Exposure to dirt and dust should not affect the contents inside the roof box. They are the most water resistant cargo carries on the market but are not 100% waterproof. Prolonged exposure to heavy rain can possibly allow water into the carriers.

The best way to make sure your items stay dry, is to pack your items in loading bags like Go Packs inside the roof box. The Hapro Trivor range of boxes even come with the bags included!

If items are sensitive to water, make sure to use watertight packaging (or store them in the car).
